MULTI-PURPOSE SLITTING LINES

These “Multi Purpose Slitting Lines” were designed to process a variety of materials. Including: hot rolled steel, cold rolled steel, and galvanized steel from .015 ins. Up to .250 ins thick in a variety of hardness ranges and yield strengths. Special consideration has to be given to design the lines to handle the heavier gauges but still having the necessary precision for the lighter 

Features:

The Entry and Exit Equipment is capable of handling coils 72 ins wide and 70,000 lbs. With both 20 ins. & 24 ins. ID

An Entry Coil Breaker unit can be provided to feed the heavier materials.

A Two (2) Speed Recoiler Gearbox ensures that higher torque is available at the lower speed range.

An Entry Crop Shear is provided to eliminate “over gauge” lead ends, and is equipped with a convenient Removable Scrap Disposal System to eliminate manual scrap handling and ensure operator safety.

A convenient Exit Crop Shear is provided to enable an efficient means of coil size reduction.

ALCOS Slitting Lines feature a Rapid Slitter Interchange System utilizing: 

ALCOS “Injector Head” Systems, 
ALCOS “Turret Injector” Systems, or 
ALCOS “Hydra Lok” Lift-Off" Systems. 

Edge Trip Scrap Systems

A variety of Edge Trip Scrap Systems can be provided depending upon the customer preference and the type of material being processed.

Scrap Winding, Scrap Balling, and
Scrap Chopper systems are all available.
